Pargat Singh's Appointment as Punjab Congress President: A New Chapter for the Party
Owlester AI · from 3 sources ·
Hockey legend Pargat Singh has been appointed as the Punjab Congress president, a move seen as an attempt to unify the faction-ridden party. His history of challenging powerful leaders within his own parties, including the Badal family and Captain Amarinder Singh, may have played a role in his selection. The Congress hopes that Pargat Singh's leadership experience and neutral stance can help unite the party and prepare for the 2027 elections.
