A recent survey by Lanka Data Foundation indicates that while 91.1% of Sri Lanka's government websites are accessible, nearly 9% (1 in 11) are not. The 'Government Website Scorecard' assessed 577 websites from 25 ministries and 358 departments, grading them from A to F. Although 76.5% of ministry websites achieved an 'A' grade, only 37.7% of department websites did, with 1 in 6 department sites being inaccessible. The survey also highlighted that 93.3% of government websites use recognized SSL certificates, and a significant portion (57.6%) are primarily in English, with only 36.7% offering all three official languages: English, Sinhala, and Tamil.
